Vaeltava kudelma will be at the residency in Jillat – Sami Dance Centre

The artist group Vaeltava Kudelma invites you to Co – creative textile meetings at Jillat – Sami Dance Center. Together with the artists, participants of all ages will have the opportunity to create with textile materials as part of the group’s residency work with dance, live music and costume.

Vaeltava kudelma invites you to do crafts with us at Jillat – Sami Dance Center:

Thursday 9.7. at 16-19

Friday 10.7. at 16-19

Saturday 11.7. at 13-16

There is no need for any specific skills, but if you have some textile skills, we are very curious to hear about them. We are open for all suggestions of doing the textile, like knotting and knitting.

If possible, bring a piece of textile or yarn that you want to bring for the project. It can be broken or something that you don’t want to use anymore.

We offer coffee, tea and some snacks. FIKA 🙂

Vaeltava Kudelma is a Nordic working group consisting of dance artists Titta Court, Mathilda Kauppila and Riikka Tolonen from Finland, musician Mirja Palo from Sweden and costume and textile designer Charlotta Østergaard from Denmark. During their residency at Jillat – Sami Dance Center, the group will be developing a new interdisciplinary work where dance, live music, textile and costume meet as parts of the same weave.
